RH985 Gorham Special Order Wine Jug 1893

An unusual Gorham special order wine jug chased with swags with a pull out sterling stopper. Marked with the Gorham logo and the 1893 date letter. The jug is in the shape of an old Roman wine jug with a single handle and in this case a stopper that is sterling with a spout hole that can be rotated to seal off the spout when the solid side is exposed to the spout.

Monogrammed on the front of the jug.
